Meet the Artist

Hi, I’m Maggie!

Welcome to Maggie Oates Art, where imagination, color, and creativity come together!

I’m an acrylic artist, musician, and educator based in Davenport, Iowa. For more than 20 years, I’ve dedicated my professional life to inspiring creativity through music. Painting has become another way for me to express that same passion—this time through color, texture, and a canvas.

My artwork is inspired by everything from nature and whimsical characters to bold abstracts, expressive portraits, and imaginative worlds. I love experimenting with different techniques, blending unexpected colors, and creating pieces that invite people to look a little closer.

No two paintings are exactly alike. Each original piece is created by hand, with its own personality, movement, and story.

I believe art should do more than decorate a wall. It should spark curiosity, inspire conversation, evoke emotion, and bring a little joy into everyday life.

Whether you’re searching for a statement piece, a meaningful gift, or something that simply makes you happy, I hope you find artwork here that speaks to you.

Thank you for supporting independent art and being part of my creative journey!
